Module Outline

This module covers the body of rules governing commercial relationships of a private law nature involving parties from two or more countries. Transactions considered may include the sale of goods, the carriage of goods and documentary credit. Students will familiarise with practical issues and scholarly debates in this area.

Module learning outcomes

Critically evaluate the rules of law that govern international business transactions;

Demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills in applying the law to hypothetical scenarios;

Demonstrate a competence in advanced, level-specific research methods;

Utilise a diverse set of practical skills including IT and traditional resources for presentation of critical analysis in the field of international business transactions.
