FHEQ Level 7 (Masters)

Module Outline

This module provides students with holistic understanding of the interconnectedness of international trade law, international politics and economic principles within the international political economy. It develops a critical analysis of the core rules, principles and dynamics operating in the global economy, such as globalisation, sovereignty and domestic trade policy. This module examines key concepts and theories from law, politics and trade economics to critically examine historical trends and structural inequalities embedded in decision-making processes. Students from various disciplines will develop a deeper understanding of the rules and rationale for economic integration, along with current trends towards non-compliance and disengagement from the WTO’s rules-based trading system.
