Module Outline
The International Economic Law Clinic provides students with the opportunity to apply their understanding of international economic law by undertaking research and preparing briefing documents for real clients. Students work under supervision on specific legal questions related to international economic law from clients such as international organisations, governments and non-governmental organisations. Students will consult with clients, produce research under close supervision, discuss their work with supervisors and their peers and present their findings to clients. Students will develop their research, writing and analytical skills in addition to gaining skills that are transferable to the practice of international economic law.
Module learning outcomes
Critically analyse, evaluate and apply international economic law to real-life international economic law questions.
Use a variety of legal research methods in preparation of legal memoranda on real-life international economic law questions.
Critically transfer knowledge gained in international economic law modules to real-life questions concerning international economic law.
Reflect upon progress made in the preparation of papers and draft legal memoranda through engagement with fellow students, supervisors and clients.
