Module Outline
The aim of this course is to consider what individual skills are relevant to ethical decision-making in contemporary business environment and what the role of both social and personal responsibility is in addressing existing and emerging ethical concerns. The course explores the relationship between organisations and the rest of society (i.e. morality in the marketplace) and the behaviour of people within organisations.
Module learning outcomes
Display a systematic and critical engagement with the theoretical frameworks central to the discipline.
Show critical awareness of existing moral dilemmas encountered by managers and employees.
Show critical awareness of the contemporary issues and concerns of business ethics and its applications.
Appreciate the contested and uncertain status of Business Ethics as an emergent area of study within business and management
