Module Outline

This module invites you to complete a Legal Research Project - a sustained piece of writing (4,000 words) based on your independent research, under the guidance of a supervisor. You will be supported to develop your research question, present a viable plan for your research and to write up your submission through the course of a semester, thereby completing your Project.

A short series of seminars early in the module will equip you with the necessary research skills to embark on your Legal Research Project with confidence. You might expect to cover research methodology, advanced word processing, making the most of legal databases/online research and writing skills.
