Module Outline

This module focuses on the area of civil law primarily concerned with providing a remedy to persons who have been wrongfully harmed by the conduct of others. Students will be introduced to the general principles of tort law and will explore in more detail a variety of different torts gaining a knowledge of the key elements required to establish these more specific torts.

Module learning outcomes

Evidence an understanding of the general principles of tort law.

Evaluate the different areas of tort law addressed in the module and be able to communicate appropriate understanding.
