This course is set at Level 7 (Masters) in the national Framework for Higher Education Qualifications.

Course learning outcomes

Use appropriate analytic tools to conceptualise different types of corruption

Critically analyse the socio-economic and cultural contexts that prompt differing types of corrupt activity to occur

Assess the effectiveness of anti-corruption strategies propagated by international organisations and national governments

Use, and subsequently critically analyse, a variety of methodologies in analysing corruption

Apply and evaluate a variety of theoretical perspectives in analysing corruption

Handle and interpret complex data before proposing evidence-based solutions to complex problems

Evaluate and make judgments in an informed way, identify problems and solutions, synthesise information

Utilise a range of practical skills including IT and traditional resources and techniques for presentation of critical analysis, both written and oral

Reflect on their own development
