Module Outline
Basic ideas of decision maths, probability and statistics, with an emphasis on applications in management. We will cover algorithms such as critical path analysis and linear programming. There will be a discussion of probability, looking at simple discrete and continuous distributions, and an introduction to statistics, covering descriptive statistics, regression and time series.
Module learning outcomes
Identify basic quantitative and statistical methods.
Construct mathematical models of common management problems.
Apply basic quantitative methods to a range of management problems using computer packages.
