Module Outline
• Vector random variables, moments, distributions, transformations.
• Conditional distributions, conditional expectations.
• Multivariate normal distribution. Linear regression.
• Point estimators
• Hypothesis testing, confidence intervals.
Module learning outcomes
Select and employ appropriate methods to solve basic problems using vector random variables;
Apply linear regression to data from real-life applications;
Use a variety of methods to estimate parameters and perform statistical tests in realistic problems.
Acquire presentation skills and communicate mathematical content
