Module F3210

Module details for 2025/26.

15 credits

FHEQ Level 4

Module Outline

In this this module, you will study classical mechanics.
You’ll learn about concepts including linear and rotational motion, forces, Newton’s laws, momentum, angular momentum and energy, and apply these concepts to settings such as Newtonian gravity and the harmonic oscillator.

Module learning outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge of classical mechanics, to include Newton’s laws, conservation laws including rotation, Newtonian gravitation to the level of Kepler’s laws, and ability to apply to physical problems
