Module Outline

This module augments and amplifies the overall BSc Physics and MPhys Physics course learning outcomes and is designed to improve student employability by facilitating full-year and full-time professional/work placements. The aims are a) to provide students with the opportunity to experience the practical applications of what they have learned during the preceding years of their degree, and b) to receive further training in the skills associated with their specific work placement.

Reflect critically on their professional skills development in relation to employability (assessment 1)

Integrate academic knowledge and understanding with practical professional experience (assessment 1)

Describe and analyse corporate social responsibility and sustainable development issues in relation to the placement organisation (assessment 1)

Communicate the placement learning experience to others (assessment 2)
