This course is set at Level 7 (Masters) in the national Framework for Higher Education Qualifications.

Course learning outcomes

Show a systematic understanding in a chosen area in Physics & Astronomy, along with a critical awareness of current problems, the associated mathematical, computational, and experimental methods, as well as applications to the field.

Apply a range of mathematical, computational, and problem-solving skills in one or more areas of Physics & Astronomy.

Show a comprehensive and critical understanding of methodologies used in Physics Education research.

Demonstrate originality in the development and application of knowledge in Physics Education and be able to critically evaluate research in this field.
